PhD opportunities
I am always looking for highly motivated PhD students to join my group working on AI explainability, interpretability and more generally trustworthy AI for decision-making. If you’re interested in working with me, please send me your CV and a brief description of your research interests and how they relate to my previous work.
Application Process
Students who wish to pursue a PhD with me have to first apply to the Department of Computing. The procedure is described at this link. Don’t forget to mention my name as a potential supervisor when submitting the formal application to Imperial!
Funding
PhD offers are conditional on securing funding to cover tuition fees and living expenses. To give yourself the best possible advantage in the UK funding landscape, I highly recommend exploring the many PhD scholarship opportunities available. Here you can find a list of scholarships that are managed by Imperial. Of course, other funding opportunities are possibile (e.g., some students may fund their studies independently or through scholarships from their home countries).
Timeline
Most students prefer to begin in October, but other start dates may be possible (typically in December, February or April). Applications are reviewed after each deadline, when candidates may be invited for interviews.
